Here’s an interview of David talking about
Mecé Magazine’s beginnings and where he’d like it to go!
Give it a watch!!
Well, well, well, who knew?
To be honest, we did. We knew that if we offer you great articles along with the most beautiful women, scantily clad, of course, you will fall in love with MECÉ. So, we’re not going to change one bit.
With that said, we have more great things for you in this 6th issue of the magazine. Starting with our MITM, Samantha Mathias, whom we are calling, Mad Sam. Her pictorial comes from David’s love of cinema, movies that is and is based on Mad Max. Those Australian films starring a young Mel Gibson.
With the help and support of Jay Jones in Lake Havasu, AZ, Pete Smith, now also from AZ, and the fantastic Vegas-based makeup & hair artist, Britney Wimple, we created a badass and very sexy, version of a female warrior. We’re sure you’ll find it entertaining.
Next up, we have a little B&W pictorial with someone you will be seeing much more of in just a few months, as in, December. She’s that month’s MITM who did us a favor with a little photo shoot in black & white. Just a little teaser, which is also what we’re calling it, ‘Caramie, Just A Tease’. We have a feeling you’ll enjoy it too, then way more with her December appearance, oh yes.
Along with the tease, we also have an incredibly sexy and quite lovely pictorial on the model, Kendel Kay. One of the hottest in that world of social media. She and David got together for a rather sizzling pictorial in dresses of blue & a blouse of black.
How can we do an issue without our Food and Beverage man, Hal Schmitt regaling us with something incredible for the tongue and tummy? Well, we can’t. Check out his article this month on ‘the harvesting’ of grapes.
We know how everyone comes to Vegas to hang out on The Strip. That stretch of Las Vegas Blvd with several miles of casinos, shops, and all manner of Sin City paraphernalia along its byway. But is there more than just The Strip and all that desert surrounding it? Yes, there is.
Just north of Las Vegas, up I-95 some 45 minutes away, you’ll find mountains. Yes, we know about the Red Rock Mountains, but these mountains have trees and, in the winter, a lot of snow. You can even go skiing there. That’s where you will find Mt Charleston, a destination for many locals as well as knowing visitors in both summer and winter. We show you the way and where you might want to hang out should you ever drive that rental car north of town.
As our cover revealed, our Q&A-7 interview is with rising country star, Jimmy Charles. He’s an award-winning singer out of Nashville on his way up the charts and we have him in our special interview.
Our Jeany Zhao took it upon herself to make her way from LA to Pike’s Peak, Colorado for the big race held there every year. It’s not for the faint of heart either as you’re driving at insane speeds up a 14,000 ft mountain in all sorts of weather. She shares what it’s like.
We would be remiss if we did not remind everybody about our upcoming celebration for 6 months of publishing MECÉ Magazine! We are throwing a soirée, yeah, that’s a private party, for guests who have bought their tickets and coming to Vegas. We are beyond excited too because it’s got so much for our readers and fans to enjoy.
We’ll have our MITMs dropping by, oh yeah, along with printed copies of the first six issues of MECÉ for purchase. You’ll meet David, Kenji, Hal, well, almost all the crew who make MECÉ happen every month. There will be treats to eat, great drinks, and memorabilia from David’s history that will be nothing short of incredible.
So, if you can make it, go to our Eventbrite site, buy your ticket today, then mark, September 24th, and be at our party!
We hope to see you here, so click this link now!

David Mecey – Founder/Publisher (Former staff photographer-Playboy) Writer, Photographer, Driver. The man whose ‘near-name’ sits atop this magazine David brings what he did for that iconic publication to Mecé Magazine. Similar, yet different. David’s wish, to add a contemporary, sophisticated feel to the photography while upholding the highest standards for the art. For those yearning to know, also sharing how it’s done.
Kenji Kita – Art Director-Web Designer – Kenji is not only the behind-the-scenes guy with the website/digital magazine, he’s also behind the camera himself since his teenage years, first as a hobby, now as a professional. He brings a background of corporate IT along with a myriad other talents to Mecé Magazine. Working in enterprise IT for close to 20 years in several varying industries, he brings website creation knowledge, with infrastructure design to create cutting-edge digital content, while also giving the magazine it’s new look.
Hal Schmitt – Food & Beverage Editor, call sign, ‘Bull’. Former Navy Top Gun pilot-instructor. It was Hal who convinced David he needed to bring out a magazine containing beautiful photography of beautiful women. A more mellow Hal is himself a gifted photographer and serious master of Photoshop, teaching both for years at his own studio, Light Workshops. Hal will make sure things are in order by lending stories about his latest passion, wine, and food. Yes, the man makes his own wine, incredible vintages that are growing more in popularity each new season.
Lou Maggio – Travel Editor - Producer, entrepreneur, longtime friend of David. Having once owned his own modeling agency in Florida, where he met David, he has always had his finger on the pulse of knowing and working with beautiful and talented women. After giving up on the agency life, he worked as director of photography for Florida-based, VENUS swimwear for several years, traveling throughout Florida and the Caribbean on various photo shoots. Since leaving VENUS, he now works as a producer creating movies and TV shows with several produced, with others in current development.
Samantha Mathias – Tech Editor. Yes, she’s also one of our MITMs, but there’s so much more to Sam than her beauty and sexy looks. Sam is into tech, from science fiction to science fact. She’s also the creator of remote tethered photography. During Covid, while wishing to model, she came up with a way for a model to set up a camera in a scene, then have the photographer via their computer take her photograph, even from another part of the world. A fantastic idea, which now has many models worldwide taking advantage of her idea and setup. More on that later.
Jeany Zhao – Automotive Editor - Jeany is one of the hottest looking car enthusiasts you’ll ever meet! But a serious one, so don’t let those looks fool you. Working with IMSA at races while also being a writer herself, she’s been published in the Porsche magazine, EXCELLENCE, and so much more. Entrepreneur is a best description, as she’s juggling several businesses constantly, while always finding time to exercise her cars at nearby racetracks. Jeany will be dropping by and sharing a few of her stories about cars and her involvement in motorsports, so keep an eye peeled for her.
